OK, so I was seeing the issue in Firefox. The Discord link would launch in a Firefox tab and when I clicked on that it was returning the error above instead of transferring to my open Discord client.

I've now copied the link and joined the server from within Discord. Must be an issue between Firefox and Discord rather than the link itself.
